Use Natural Skin Care Oils to Soothe Dry Itchy Skin

Author:  Robyn James

If you suffer from persistently dry, itchy, or inflamed skin, it's possible that your skin care brand is actually aggravating your situation. If it contains any toxic ingredients (which it may) and too low a concentration of beneficial ingredients, then it's likely doing your skin more harm than good.

For lasting relief, you might want to consider switching to a quality organic natural skin care cream -- one formulated from a high concentration of only natural and naturally derived ingredients. When it comes to moisturizing, balancing, detoxifying, soothing, and healing your skin, certain natural skin care oils can do wonders.

Two such oils that I've benefited from, and highly recommend, are babussu oil and grapeseed oil. Both of these will help your skin retain its moisture without blocking your pores, and make your skin feel velvety soft and smooth.

Babussu oil comes from the Amazon region of Brazil, where it's been used for centuries. The oil is extracted from the kernel (seed) of the fruit of the Babussu palm. It gently moisturizes the skin while keeping out dirt and grime, and provides relief from dry skin, inflamed skin, and eczema. Babussu oil also works well even if you have an oily complexion.

Grapeseed oil is both a natural moisturizer and powerful antioxidant that creates an invisible film on your skin. It also repairs the delicate skin around your eyes and has even been shown to reduce stretch marks as well. Rich in linoleic acid and several essential oils, this powerful ingredient will keep your skin healthy. It's also a fantastic natural source of vitamin E.
