For Beautiful Skin Break These Bad Habits!

Author: Suzanne Currie

The skin is the biggest organ of the body. It plays a vital role in our overall well-being and shows how healthy our bodies are. The skin is the protective layer of our body absorbing 60% of everything we put on it into our blood stream, so it is very important we take extra care of it.

It also makes you think twice about putting products onto your skin that contain harmful chemicals and fillers. A healthy, natural daily skin care routine will help In obtaining beautiful skin, and it is a great step in showing of a smooth and healthy complexion.

A skin care routine should not be difficult, it is not time consuming and when using the correct products you can reap the benefits. However, we do all lead busy lives and sometimes we take short cut but are they worth it?

Three common habits to break are:

Bad Habit #1: Dry Shaving

Shaving your legs and underarms whilst dry can cause irritation, ingrown hairs, and razor burn....Ewww! Even if your about to go out and don't have the time, always use shaving cream or a natural soap to help soften the skin prior to shaving. Hand soap is generally not recommended as a softener. Soap has a tendency to dry the out skin more, dull your razor, and invite cuts. If you have to use a natural, soap free, pH-balanced wash. Also when you shave, use longer strokes rather than shorter ones as they are less stressful to the skin. Consider a shaving cream that rich in emollients and after shaving, always use a mild body lotion to soothe the shaved area.

Bad Habit #2: Ignoring Minor Sun Exposure

Sun exposure is the biggest cause of wrinkles, age spots, and dull skin. Whilst you may think that running your daily errands or walking to the car on a hot sunny day doesn't count as sun exposure, you're wrong. Every day before you leave the house, you should apply a SPF lotion, whether it be in your makeup or in your day cream, don't leave home without it. When it comes to choosing a good SPF, look at some of the less common brands they often have a higher % for protection.

Bad Habit #3: Avoiding Exfoliation

Exfoliating the skin brings out great results. Its purpose is to remove dead skin cells that have developed on the outer surface of our skin. It enhances circulation, encourages cell renewal and will reduce blotchiness, evening out the skin tone. It depends on your individual skin type as to how much you should exfoliate. However, all skin types need some sort of an exfoliation treatment, adding a little salt, sugar or cornmeal to your cleanser is a great scrub.

What Are Soapnuts?

Author: Ken Marrion

Soapnuts are an inexpensive alternative to the harsh dyes and chemicals found in most modern detergents. The fruit of the Sapindus Mukorossi tree, soapnuts are all-natural. And while most commonly used in laundry detergent, soapnuts have many other household applications.

Once the fruit is ready to be harvested from the soapnut tree, it is de-seeded and dried in the sun. This is the entire preparation process for soapnuts. Once they have sufficiently dried, soapnuts are ready to be thrown in with your laundry (preferably in a washing machine safe soapnut sack).

The trick to the soapnut is saponin. This natural substance is found in the dozen or so species of shrubs in the soapnut family. Saponin has been known for centuries to cleanse and wash all types of fabrics. Only recently has saponin grown in popularity in Europe and North America. Saponin is also claimed to work effectively for many medical applications. Many studies are now being performed to investigate the potential healing qualities of soapnuts.

Soapnuts are found to be a great solution for people with sensitive skin or psoriasis. While effectively cleaning, soapnuts leave little residue and don't include any of the harsh chemicals that most detergents contain. Saponin is also biodegradable and anti-microbial, so it is usually seen as being very good for water systems.

Going green can sometimes be a costly process. But while most organic produce and supplies on the market are more expensive than their chemical counterparts, soapnuts are actually very inexpensive. Soapnut users claim that three soap nuts in a wash bag can be used for 5-10 full loads of laundry. Soapnuts also eliminate the need for fabric softener or dryer sheets, cutting out another cost.

Many medical experts recommend replacing the often caustic and dangerous chemical household cleaners with non toxic cleaning products. Soap nuts are often seen as a great alternative to laundry detergent, but they can also be used to repel pests from plants, wash product, and to clean glass.

Reducing Cellulite Appearance as a Vegetarian

Author: Laura Ng

Honestly, you can't cure cellulite because cellulite forms part of your body fat structure beneath the skin. However, you can reduce your cellulite appearance dramatically and make it almost invisible to human eyes even in broad daylight.

Unfortunately, women tend to get the most headaches from this ugly dimpling appearance on their skins, even after they've become a vegetarian. Why women and not men? Have you seen men seeking cellulite treatment thus far?

Let me give you a quick rundown on the difference between men and women in terms of their cellulite structure so that you know how to treat your cellulite problem more effectively when we get down to the natural ways to reducing cellulite appearance.

For women, the connective tissue structure is arranged into large upright cubicles to hold the fat. When poor lymphatic circulation takes place, toxic wastes and fluid will accumulate within the fat tissues, which cause these cubicles to become swollen and start to push up against the skin, forming cellulite appearance.

In men, these fat cubicles are arranged in cross-linked structure that actually limits the quantity of fat stored, hold the fat in better and store them deeper under the skin. Also, men have thicker skin as better cover-ups and generally, their hormones behave less erratically than women.

That's why cellulite bothers women more than men. Now you roughly know how your cellulite comes about. Now, let's see what we can do to reduce the cellulite appearance and make it less noticeable.

How to Reduce Your Cellulite Appearance as a Vegetarian

As I just mentioned, your cellulite appears due to poor lymphatic circulation. So, first thing you must do as a vegetarian is improve your lymphatic circulation by ingesting quality vegetarian diet and cutting back on your processed vegetarian food intake.

Though processed vegetarian food may not be as toxic as meat, it does contain high amount of sugar, salt and bad saturated fat that can impede your blood flow and trigger a metabolic disorder. On the contrary, whole foods like fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes etc provide key nutrients for optimal lymphatic circulation, thus reducing your cellulite appearance dramatically.

Oh, factoring in exercises help to reduce cellulite appearance too by reducing the fat content within the fat structure. Remember, when you fat cells shrink, the push-up effect will be less intense, and the dimpling appearance will subside.

Strictly speaking, you can't remove cellulite completely because it is not an entity in your body that you can simply take it away. Hence, whether you like it or not, you just had to learn to live with cellulite. But good news is, you can reduce your cellulite appearance by applying the aforementioned natural ways.

Anti Aging Hand Cream - A Collection Of Four Special Ingredients To Perform Wonders

Author: Laurel Levine

Let's face it. What you want in an anti aging hand cream is a formula that can not only return the firmness and elasticity to the skin, but that is also effective in reducing melanin hyperpigmentation in the skin. Melanin hyperpigmentation is what we have come to know as age spots, although they have little to do with age except for how long it usually takes for them to develop. They typically don't begin to appear until people have reached their forties.

The damage that causes the appearance of melanin hyperpigmentation was a long time building however, as it is the cumulative damage from years of having your skin exposed to the sun. This is why hyperpigmentation typically appears on areas of the body such as the hands, shoulders, neck, and face. They are even likely to pop up on the top of the head in men balding either naturally, or bald by choice.

These are the areas that receive the most exposure to the UV radiation emitted by the sun. Not only must an anti aging hand cream contain compounds that will safely and effectively reduce the melanin content of your skin, but also those that will remedy another serious problem related to UV exposure. That is the accelerated decomposition of your hyaluronic acid.

Your collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are constantly under attack by their namesake collagenase, elastase, and hyaluronidase enzymes. These enzymes break the firming tissue and polymer in your skin down, which along with a decline in collagen and elastin production is the major cause of your wrinkles and sagging skin. You want to be able to slow this destructive process to a crawl.

You also want your anti aging hand cream to contain ingredients that will cause your collagen and elastin production to significantly increase, and that will be able to neutralize the free radicals in your skin. The act of free radicals stealing the electrons from available chemical structures causes many of your wrinkles to form.

Accomplishing this laundry list of tasks simply requires the use of a select group of all natural compounds.

You can effectively reduce the melanin content of your skin through the use of products that contain Extrapone nutgrass root extract, which will lower your melanin by 40%. This reduction gets rid of your age spots, and prevents new hyperpigmentation from forming. Phytessence Wakame kelp extract and grape seed oil will dramatically slow down the deterioration of your tissue and polymer.

Two problems down and two to go, but if your anti aging hand cream contains the protein and enzyme fusion Cynergy TK then both issues are solved. Cynergy TK stimulates the growth of new collagen and elastin, and it is also the most powerful antioxidants ever included in an anti aging formulas. This one compound is capable of neutralizing millions of free radicals at a time.

An anti aging hand cream that features this collection of four special ingredients will do wonders for you. Trust me when I say that you don't want to trust your skin to anything else.

Herbal Supplements - Bedellium, Withania, Shilajit, Emblica, Brahmi, Tulsi, Shallaki, Garlic, Triphala, Bitter Melon, Neem, Vallerian, Arjuna

Author: AyurvedicCure.com

Ayurveda is perhaps the oldest system of health care in the world and originates from the Indian subcontinent.

Ayurveda is based on scientific principles of diagnosis and treatment. It differs from conventional medicine in the basic principles of investigation and assigning causes to processes rather than specific areas of physiology.  Ayurveda has been a vogue since 5000 years ago. Our Vedas have been repeated references to the efficacy of Ayurveda as a science of healthy life. The western world is now realizing the value of Ayurveda in treating Chronic diseases like Arthritis, Paralysis, Stroke, Neurological disorders etc. Even WHO has given high rating for Ayurveda system.  It differs from conventional medicine in the basic principles of investigation and assigning causes to processes rather than specific areas of physiology. The increasing awareness of herbal medicines in Western markets such as USA, UK, Canada and Japan and the technological advancements in biotech industry were two major reasons which compelled us to offer a platform like this.  The key to the success of www.AyurvedicCure.com is the quality of the ingredients they use, the way in which formulae are based on ancient Ayurvedic traditions, a careful manufacturing process and an ongoing research program for testing and evaluating new and old products.  Here are some Important Herbs and their Uses:  Ashvagandha ( Withania Somnifera), ( Winter Cherry): Traditionally, Ashwagandha has been used in many ways--as a sedative, a diuretic, a rejuvenating tonic, an anti-inflammatory agent, and as an "adaptogen" (endurance enhancer). Many Western herbalists refer to this herb as "Ayurvedic ginseng" because of its reputation for increasing energy, strength, and stamina, and for its ability to relieve stress. It is especially beneficial in stress related disorders such as arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, general debility, etc. It has also shown impressive results when used as stimulants for the immune system. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/ashwagandha.htm, http://www.ayurvediccure.com/ashvagandha.htm  Amla ( Emblica officinalis), ( Indian Goosebery): Amla contains the highest amount of Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid), Phyllembin, Phyllemblic acid, Gallic acid, Ellagic acid in natural form and Cytokin like substance identified as Zeatin, Z riboside, Z nucleotide, Tannins 30%. It is one of the strongest rejuvenatives in Indian pharmacopoeia. It contains 30 times the amount of Vitamin C found in oranges. Its antibacterial, carminative, hypoglycemic, stomachic, Hypotensive and astringent action prevents infection, helps in healing of ulcers, treatment of jaundice, dyspepsia and cough and controls hyperacidity. Alma is a good Cardio Tonic and its mild stimulant action on heart helps to control blood pressure. The use of Indian Gooseberry enhances the antidiabetic action of Karela. Phyllanthus Emblica is a very good hair tonic. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/amla.htm, http://www.ayurvediccure.com/emblica.htm  Brahmi (Bacopa Monniera): Aside from increasing intellectual and cognitive function, Brahmi induces a sense of calm and peace in its users. It is unique in its ability to invigorate mental processes whilst reducing the effects of stress and nervous anxiety. This makes Brahmi extremely applicable in highly stressful work or study environments where clarity of thought is as important as being able to work under pressure. Many people have the intelligence to perform to strict standards, but lack the composure and self-confidence to reach them. Additionally, Brahmi helps soothe the restlessness and distraction that nervousness causes. Brahmi is ideal for students and workers faced with this problem. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/brahmi.htm, http://www.ayurvediccure.com/bacopaherb.htm  Shallaki ( Boswellia Serrata): Today its major use is as an anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, myositis, fibrositis, and osteoarthritis. Experimental and clinical usage of boswella indicates it has none of the side effects on blood pressure, heart rate of the gastric irritation and ulcers associated with many anti-inflammatory and antiarthritic drugs. It is now an approved herbal medicine in India for use against osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, soft tissue rheumatism, low back pain, myositis and fibrositis. In the United States, physicians are giving boswella high marks for effectiveness. Dr. E. W. McDonagh, a Kansas City physician, has reported success among some 350 patients suffering from a variety of advanced muscular and skeletal conditions for which other treatments had failed to help. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/shallaki.htm, http://www.ayurvediccure.com/boswelliaherb.htm  Karela ( Bitter Gourd), ( Bitter Melon), ( Momordica charantia) : Bitter Melon, also known as Karela, Momordica Charantia or Bitter Gourd is a herb that helps regulate blood sugar levels and keeps body functions operating normally. It contains Gurmarin, a polypeptide considered to be similar to bovine insulin, which has been shown in experimental studies to achieve a positive sugar regulating effect by suppressing the neural response to sweet taste stimuli. Karela's principle constituents are lectins, charantin and momordicine. The fruits have long been used in India as a folk remedy for diabetes mellitus. Lectins from the bitter gourd have shown significant antilipolytic and lipogenic activities. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/bittergourd.htm, http://www.ayurvediccure.com/bittermelon.htm  Shilajit (Asphaltum) : This is Shilajit, one of Ayurvedas most potent and unique rejuvenatives. The ancient medical literature attributes many health benefits to Shilajit known as "conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness." It has been said that there is hardly any curable disease which cannot be assisted with the aid of Shilajit. Shilajit has been used historically for general physical strengthening, anti-aging, blood sugar stabilization, libido, injury healing, urinary tract rejuvenation, enhanced brain functioning potency, bone healing, kidney rejuvenation, immune system Strengthening, arthritis, hypertension, obesity and many other application for numerous conditions. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/shilajit.htm Garlic ( Lasuna), ( Allium sativum): The platelet and hypolipidemic activities of Lasuna ensures smooth coronary function. Garlic is regarded as one of the most effective remedies to lower blood pressure. The pressure and tension are reduced because it has the power to ease the spasm of the small arteries. It also slows the pulse and modifies the heart rhythm, besides relieving the symptoms of dizziness, shortness of breath and the formation of gas within the digestive track. It has an antiseptic effect and is an excellent remedy for infectious diseases and inflammations of the stomach and intestine. Human population studies show that eating garlic regularly reduces the risk of esophageal, stomach, and colon cancer. This is partly due to garlic's ability to reduce the formation of carcinogenic compounds. http://www.ayurvediccure.com/garlic.htm  Triphala: Triphala, a cornerstone of ayurvedic medicine, is a composite herbal preparation containing equal proportions of the fruits of three myrobalans, Emblica officinalis, Terminalia chebula and Terminalia bellirica. When consumed for a long period, it helps reduce excess weight. It promotes good colon health and acts as a laxative without causing cramps or irritation. It gently stimulates the intestinal walls and restores tone to the colon, thus helping in the elimination process, providing a colon cleansing effect. How to Repair Damaged Skin from Smoking

Author: Laurel Levine

Listen up! This article is going to be about how to repair damaged skin from smoking, and just because you may not smoke yourself doesn't mean that the information here doesn't apply to you to. While people that regularly use cigarettes are the ones hardest hit by the effects that the impurities in cigarettes contain, those being exposed to second hand smoke can be affected more than they would like to believe as well.

Smoking is one of the habits that can negatively affect you entire being. Not only has cigarette smoke been linked to such illnesses as emphysema, heart disease, and a variety of types of cancer, but it also causes your skin to wrinkle prematurely. Not only will smoking cause you to develop wrinkles earlier than your non-smoking peers, but your wrinkling will be more severe.

It is imperative that you learn how to repair damaged skin from smoking. Inhaling cigarette smoke constricts your blood vessels, which will impair the flow of oxygen and essential nutrients to your skin. Smoking has also proven to cause your collagen and elastin to break down, which is not good since the production of these two important tissues is already in decline. Those regularly exposed to second hand smoke also experience these issues, although to a lesser degree.

The only thing that those inhaling their neighbor's smoke don't have to be concerned with is what is known as 'smoker's face'. The constant squinting of the eyes and pursing of the lips that do, they tend to develop deep creases in the skin surrounding the eyes and mouth. These mouth and eye lines will be far, far worse then those suffered by people that have never lifted a cigarette to their lips.

If you are a smoker, then for your health more than your appearance you really should stop. With that being said, what you need in order to combat the damage that time and your own bad habits have had on your skin is get your hands on an all natural anti aging skin care formula. Much of the damage your skin has incurred is oxidative, and can easily be reversed by using the correct formula.

How to repair damaged skin from smoking is by using a formula featuring ingredients rich in antioxidants such as natural vitamin E, grape seed oil, Maracuja passion fruit extract, Babassu wax, and active Manuka honey. This last ingredient is a truly potent antioxidant, and is such a powerful antibacterial and antifungal compound that regularly applying it to your skin can actually boost your immune system. Active Manuka honey also encourages collagen creation.

The two best natural compounds for replenishing your collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are also loaded with antioxidants. Cynergy TK, which is made up of proteins and enzymes, is extremely effective in promoting the creation of new collagen and elastin. Phytessence Wakame kelp extract will keep your hyaluronic acid from being broken down, which greatly increases the presence of this vital polymer.

Make no mistake about it. How to repair damaged skin from smoking is something that smokers and non-smokers alike need to know.

Herbal Hair Loss Remedies For External Use

Author: Richard Mitchell
In a separate article in this series we looked at some of the most popular herbal hair loss remedies for ingestion. Here we'll expand that theme to include some potentially useful herbal remedies for external use.  Aloe vera - some Indian tribes of Mexico attribute their thick, healthy hair to regular use of aloe vera gel which they rub into the scalp and hair each night. Herbalists believe that the herb activates the production of nitric oxide and contains an enzyme known as superoxide dismutane. Some experts feel that these two substances combine to stimulate hair regrowth in those suffering from male pattern type baldness.  Onion (Allium cepa) - this has a high sulfur content that is believed to have hair-healing properties. Some herbalists believe that rubbing the scalp with half an onion before washing hair encourages hair growth.  Red pepper (Capiscum) - a popular folk remedy that involves the application of a red pepper poultice to the scalp to act as a skin irritant. This draws blood and nutrients to the scalp and encourages the release of histimines to stimulate cell division and hair regrowth.  Safflower oil (Carthamus tinctorious) - Eastern health practitioners believe that safflower oil applied to the scalp acts as a vasolidator that dilates blood vessels. This allows more blood to deliver nutrients to the hair follicle thus creating an environment conducive to hair regrowth.

A Rough Battle To Smoothen Your Dry Hair

Author: Sharon Hopkins

Dry hair occurs mainly due to heat, the use of excessive chemicals applied on your hair and also by not taking good care of your hair. Every person's hair has a certain amount of moisture which preserves your hair and does not let it dry. When certain level of moisture goes down due to many of the common reasons then you have to take special efforts to maintain that moisture. One should keep in mind that excess experiments with your hair can cause problems and lead to dry hair.

Some of the common reason why many face this problem is the excessive washing of your hair. Your hair need not be washed daily as this washes out the nutrients from your hair leaving you 'high and dry'. So washing is not an appropriate solution for your hair on a daily basis. Use of hot dryers, hot curlers or any of the things you use for stylizing your hair also leads to drying. Swimming in chlorinated water without a head cap makes your hair parched and even drier. By using some of the home based recipes you can make your last longer with a better look.  The use of mild shampoo is one of the initial steps to be taken when you are treating dry hair. Look for shampoos mentioned as 'dry and damaged' which would work in your favor. The use of conditioner is a must as this helps in preserving the lost nutrients and oil in your hair. This would give a beautiful look to your hair with the extra shine and bounce. Snipping off the end of your hair would help in preventing further damage to your hair. Exposure to sun can also cause dryness. You can use hair sunscreen to protect your hair.  Use of some of the home made ingredients if properly blended can be very helpful. Beer seems to work wonders on your hair. You can spray your hair with beer once you have shampooed your hair. Mayonnaise is also a wonderful ingredient which brings life back to your hair as it is termed as an excellent conditioner.

Use These Ways To Keep Hairstyle At Home

Author: Dale Ivan

How make the hairstyle more professional, does not it to take with hair stylist, or go to salon bar every several days? Of course not. Sometimes, only to adjust a small part of hair, only if you grasp the skills, that can keep your hairstyle as the same as made by professional hair stylist. There are five easily ways to help you keep the hairstyle.
First, use disposable hair nutrient in appropriate time.

Hair rash, one trouble of hair problems, if you want to hair become smooth and softness, try to use disposable hair nutrient. But use disposable nutrient should limit the volume, too much will leas to hair thick and heavy. It is not spray the head in a few of disposable until the hair dry 70 percent, they not only give nutrition supplement to hair, but "press" the residual water to hair inside, leaving in hair longer. If you have sprayed the nutrient product before the hair dripping, a little of nutrient product will be brought, then it will not any effects.

Second, keep hair luster.

As known as we all, luster is the most important for beautiful hairstyle, but still have a lot of people have no idea to use hair care products to add luster, or have being used such products, but do not know distinguish between the "luster" and the "shiny". If you choose the liquid products of added luster, only a little , rub in the palm of your hand, then gently grasp the tips of hair; if they are solid products, maybe not easily to rub, use a little of water to dilute, later can convenient to smear.

Third, prescription to deal curl hair.

I think girls with long curl hair have such an experience, sometimes hair mess, it can pull apart a lot of hair if force to comb, also destroy the bend of curl, even comb with water, still have an effect on curl. In fact, the way is so easy, comb the hair after hair have dried 80%, with a few of disposable hair care products on the tips of hair, when finish these, might as well to smear mucilage, maintain the hair curl. The effect of doing these will softness and do not destroy the hairstyle.

Fourth, hair tonic ease the hair knot.

Usually, we have trouble in making up long hair when hair knot, remember not to tear stiffly, that make hair injury, cut down the knot is the fastest way. However, if smudge some hair care products on tips of hair before washing hair, such a situation will not appear. Smearing tonic on knotted hair and keep hair dry, a few of minutes later, clean the hair with shampoo, the knotted hair will open naturally.

Fifth, make-up water is beneficial to the scalp.

There is no time after work to take care of hair, but then how can withstand greasy hair to go meeting. Do not forget your spray lotion at this moment with you. Spray evenly in a layer of lotions on the scalp, certainly hair root can also be sprayed a little more, it can ease the situation of oil, but also offers the hair to add moisture. Gentle press the scalp, and make new hairstyle.

How to Achieve Manageable and Beautiful Hair Everyday

Author: Brent McNutt

We all know how a bad hair day can ruin our mood for the rest of the day. Having great hair, every day all day makes us feel confident and ready to take on any challenge. Below are some tips for achieving great hair all the time.

Eat right for healthy hair

Any hair stylist in urbane scrubs will tell you that eating healthy food rich in vitamins and minerals is essential in keeping your hair healthy and lustrous, as well as in helping prevent hair loss. Hair is made of protein, so getting enough protein is a must! Foods rich in protein include chicken, fish, lean meat, tofu, soy products, and egg. Essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3 fatty acids, are also play a critical role in keeping your hair and nails strong and shiny. Foods rich in omega-3 include almonds, walnuts, flaxseed oil, tuna, salmon, mackerel, and other fatty fish. Vitamins that are vital for keeping hair smooth and healthy include vitamins B-6, B-12 and folic acid. Foods rich in B-6 vitamins include potatoes, sweet potatoes, banana, and spinach. Major sources of B-12 vitamins include poultry, meat, fish, and dairy products. You can get plenty of folic acid from fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly tomatoes and citrus fruits. Finally, trace minerals like zinc and magnesium also affect the condition of your hair and which you can get from seafood, vegetables and meat.

Wash your hair properly

Washing your hair properly can produce significant results. One of the most common mistakes people make is washing their hair with warm water. Washing your hair with warm water can make your hair dry because heat opens up the hair cuticles and releases hair's natural moisture. If you like taking baths using warm water use a shower cap to cover your hair then use cold water for washing and rinsing your hair afterwards. Cold water will lock in your hair's moisture and make it appear lustrous.

Washing your hair everyday is also not recommended as it dries out the hair and ruins the hair's cuticles. It is best to wash the hair every other day. When shampooing your hair, massage your scalp gently for about 40 seconds and rinse thoroughly and do the same procedure twice. Use conditioner after. Rub the conditioner on your hair, starting from the tips to the roots. Leave the conditioner on your hair for a few minutes to achieve silkier and softer hair then rinse thoroughly. You can also use leave-in or spray on conditioners once a week to penetrate deep into your hair cuticle sand heal damaged hair completely. After rinsing your hair, don't rub your hair with a towel as this can make some of your hair fall. Blot damp hair instead and as much as possible, let your hair dry naturally. Use a wide brush to detangle your hair and brush carefully.

Choose your shampoo well

Avoid shampoos with harsh ingredients such as ammonium lauryl sulfate. Go with shampoos that are made with gentle organic ingredients such as olive oil, jasmine, citrus fruits, proteins, keratin, and vitamins. Choose a product according to the condition of your hair whether you have dry, oily, normal or damaged hair.

How to Keep Hands Supple

Author:  Karen Chan

Every single day we use our hands to handle so many things. This may range from papers, pot holders, sponges, steering wheels and so much more. Just like our feet these extremities also need some time to rest especially if we work in the office and typing is essential. Nobody wants carpal tunnel syndrome (numbing fingers) and most especially rough and manly palms. Just imagine shaking hands when meeting new people, wouldn't it be nice to accompany your elegance with soft hands as well? This article will give you tips on how to get soft, supple palms and forearms without having to resort to spas and such.

Wash your hands

After a stressful day, your hands are stressed too. So, during your night-time routine make sure you wash them with warm water and a trusted moisturizing soap, this is to remove dirt, dust and what-not on the surface of your tips, palms and everything in between. This is also important for hygienic purposes, not only do you achieve more relaxed hands you're also getting rid of any disease-causing microorganisms you might have contracted during the day.

Hand Spa

Hand Spas are expensive, so why not do it at home? All you need is a bowl of warm water. You can add your favorite aroma scent to get a spa like ambience. Next, you need to soak your hands for about ten minutes. Also, if you have spare honey lying around you can put an ample amount on your palms and rub them gently together. Soak again. This will soften any hard areas and leave you hands feeling supple.

Hand Cleansing/Exfoliating

After your spa experience get moisturizing soap (bar or liquid) and put some on a wash cloth or a soft bath stone. You can choose any moisturizing soap that you like; recommended soaps are apricot and Aloe Vera. Using your wash cloth or bath stone gently massage your palms, the back of the palms and between fingers to relieve stress and tension. Then, rinse your hands and pat dry with a soft towel.

Moisturize

The final step to achieve soft, smooth and supple hands is to moisturize. You can use a regular moisturizing lotion, body butter or you could opt to use a hand cream filled with minerals that help calloused and rough hands become smoother and suppler. Apply an ample amount on your palms and rub your hands together while massaging until the moisturizer is absorbed by the skin.

Always remember that your hands, like your feet need spas and massages too, especially because you always use your hands to handle so many things and it is also easily noticed. So take care of your hands with these easy steps you can definitely keep your hands soft, smooth and supple without breaking the bank.

The Best Skin Care Formulas Start with Healthy, Nutritional Natural Ingredients

Author: Laura Levine

Did you know the best skin care formulas that you can buy are the ones that are filled with healthy, nutritional natural ingredients? Yes, I did mean to say nutritional, because the skin needs a wide variety of different vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids in order to stay healthy. Many companies overlook the need for the ingredients that provides your skin's nutritional needs by developing their formulas using synthetics.

Synthetics not only don't have what it takes to feed your skin, but they also don't supply you with the antioxidants that you need for ridding the skin of free radicals. Free radicals cause oxidation in your cells, which causes the formation of some of the lines and wrinkles in your skin. Free radicals can be eliminated and oxidative damage repaired so long as an ample supply of antioxidants is provided.

The best skin care formulas will obviously not feature synthetic compounds, but you must be aware that even a product that offers natural compounds as the primary ingredients are most often not chemical free. The chemical agents they contain will be the often ignored preservatives, antibacterial compounds, and firming agents. Even the aromas most cosmetics give off are chemically created.

In order to avoid the potential pitfalls that come with absorbing chemical agents into your skin you need to understand what to avoid in cosmetics products. These pitfalls include suffering organ and tissue toxicity, and an increased risk of developing cancer. Unless a formula is verified by you to be 100% all natural, then I wouldn't take a chance on using it.

Providing that you find product that you can verify as all natural, what ingredients should it include to make it the very best skin care anti aging formula available? Most people have come to believe that the most effective method of replenishing your lost firming tissue and polymer is by replacing it with animal collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. Actually, this is not the way to improve the firmness and elasticity of your skin.

The effectiveness of the topical collagen and elastin formulas is just something that the cosmetics companies made up, because they knew they had an easy sell. The success of clinical treatments involving these substances made it easy for the public to believe that they would be able to get the same type of results from topical products. The truth is that collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are too incredibly dense for the skin to absorb them.

The best skin care formula for eliminating your wrinkles is the one that features a protein complex and enzyme fusion called Cynergy TK. This ingredient has been clinically proven to improve collagen and elastin production, so that you create a greater amount of these substances. Phytessence Wakame kelp extract and grape seed oil are added to the mix for their ability to prevent the breakdown of your collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.

Make no mistake about it. This all natural formula is the best skin care anti aging formula, because it gives you the results that the other products can't.

The Best Skincare Products - What Do They All Have in Common?

Author: Amy Wells

There is no one skincare product that will be the best for everyone's face. That is why there are just a few lines that are considered the best skincare products currently on the market. Interestingly, there are a few things that all of these best products have in common.

More specifically, their main active ingredients have a lot in common. While there are many different types of products considered the absolute best skincare products and they all contain different ingredients, those ingredients do share a lot of properties.

Natural Selections

All of the products considered among the best skincare options on the market include ingredients in their most natural state possible. This means using a lot of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that come from natural sources and not allowing overly aggressive manufacturing processes to eliminate the most beneficial aspects of the ingredient.

Natural Sources

In addition to selecting ingredients that occur naturally in our environment over harsh chemical ingredients that break down the skin and rob it of needed moisture, great care is taken to collect these natural ingredients from the best sources possible.

For instance, not all forms of Keratin are the same, though there are tons of skincare products that use it in some form. The best skincare products will use more pure forms of Keratin and other types of natural ingredients.

High Concentrations

Finally, these ingredients are found in higher concentrations with the best skincare products than they are in less effective products. This is the part that most manufacturers and advertisers do not want you to find out about. They can figure out the most effective natural ingredients and put them on their label when they become extremely popular, but these labels are deceptive.

What many lower priced skincare products do is include very small amounts of the top ingredients just for the right to advertise that it is in there. They do sell tons of product, but the buyers are unaware that the small amount of those advertised ingredients included will do very little for their skin.

The best skincare products put in higher concentrations of the best ingredients, limiting the amount of "fillers" if they contain them at all. While they may be a bit higher in price than the products that cut corners, they are also more effective and live up to all of their claims.

The best piece of advice you can ever receive on skincare is to find one brand that really works with your face and stick with it. Do not mix and match different products from different brands as that will increase your chances of drying out the skin.

Natural Beauty - Making Your Own Skin And Hair Treatments Is As Easy As 1-2-3

Author: Melissa B. Rayn

The quest for beautiful skin and hair is prevalent among women. You can make inexpensive, natural beauty and hair treatments from ingredients you have in your home that will perform just as well or better than products you purchase in the store.
If you only have one natural beauty remedy in your pantry, make it Olive Oil. It's extremely versatile and can be used on every part of your body. Olive oil is excellent for removing mascara. It's much better than petroleum jelly or baby oil and is beneficial to the skin around your eyes.  Use a few drops of olive oil in warm water for a wonderful at-home manicure. Apply your favorite lotion afterwards to lock in the moisture.  Beeswax and olive oil melted and poured into a small tin makes wonderful lip balm that will keep your lips soft and smooth.  Dry feet can be healed after one night of this treatment. Before bed, rub olive oil into your dry, cracked feet. Do not rinse. Then, put a cozy pair of socks on and go to sleep. Your feet will drink in the moisture and feel much better by morning.  Add a few drops of olive oil to your bath water for the best skin softener you can imagine. And, if you're feeling extra decadent, then add a few drops of essential oil for a natural aromatherapy bath.  A very small amount of olive oil applied to dry hair will condition and get rid of frizz. This is a great leave-in conditioner.  Olive oil can also work as a shaving cream for men with sensitive skin.  Don't buy those expensive Sea Salt Scrubs. Make your own. Just add sea salt to olive oil and you've got a sea salt scrub that will feel like heaven. Add a drop of essential oils if you'd like your scrub scented.  Please use caution when using olive oil in your bathtub as it will get quite slippery and you don't want to fall.  It is not necessary to pay a lot of money for beauty treatment products. The things you have in your very own kitchen can often be the best beauty products available.

Mane And Tail Shampoo - Created For Horses But Ideal For Humans

Author:  Anthea Gardner

Mane And Tail Shampoo is an interesting product, and quite surprising if you've never come across it before. You see, this shampoo is unlike any other, because whilst it is renowned worldwide as a top performing shampoo for human hair, this shampoo was actually made to clean horse manes and tails when it was first created in the 1970s. For those who've never heard this before, it is a little strange to hear that people use a cleaning product that was designed for horses on themselves. I thought I'd write this article to describe the history of the product, and explain why Mane And Tail Shampoo, as well as other shampoos initially intended for horses, have made it in to the mainstream human beauty products market.

Now there is in fact nothing new about humans using horse shampoo, although I've found it very difficult to get any sort of precise date around when it begun. I would imagine that as soon as horse shampoos came onto the market, there would have been at least a few human owners trying it on themselves. It makes the most sense. From a purely economic standpoint - when given the choice between cheap and plentiful horse shampoo or expensive human shampoo, some folks would surely have opted for the horse shampoo when they were low on funds. What is more recent, however, is the widespread use of horse shampoos in cities around the world, and the discussion of their usage in the mainstream media. The main factors behind this growth are the rapid increase in internet communities discussing brands like Mane And Tail Shampoo, following high profile marketing campaigns aimed at changing people's perception of horse shampoos. After the initial surge though, the popularity would have died down unless people found there to real improvements when they started to use horse shampoo.

One of the main reasons brands such as Mane And Tail Shampoo work so well on humans is that they are designed to make the horse look strong, healthy and vibrant by giving the mane and tail volume, strength and shine. Similar traits such as health, gloss and shine are exactly what many folks are looking for in their own hair - and they have found that horse shampoo works just as well at giving their own hair these qualities as it did on the horses. Horse shampoo is particularly effective on wiry and curly hair, helping to detangle and straighten the hair, whilst preventing split ends.

For those with highly sensitive skin, Mane And Tail Shampoo is the best solution - it doesn't contain any ingredients that can irritate the skin. This is because horse shampoos lack the highly fragrant scent enhancers often put into human shampoos. Since there's no need to add artificial fragrance to horses hair, there's no need to put these in the horse shampoo. So all you find in horse shampoo are moisturizers, emollients and the cleansing ingredients themselves - with no unnecessary additives. Also included in Mane And Tail Shampoo is a protein rich additive to replenish the skin beneath the hair.
